To find a program near you, type your zip code or city and state into the "Find a Program" search box, select the distance from the zip code you want results for, and click the green search button.

If you are searching from a cell phone or tablet, you will be asked if you would like the share your current location. If you click yes, the map will immediately show programs near your location.

Use the Volunteer search to find programs in your area that need your help.

Literacy and education programs often need volunteers! There are many ways you can help, from investing your time and expertise to donations of money, goods, or space. To get started, use the National Literacy Directory's Volunteer Search to locate a program that has volunteer opportunities.

From there, you can contact the program directly or complete the "Allow this program to contact me" form. This will send an email to that program with your contact information.

The National Literacy Directory connects more than 50,000 potential students and volunteers to literacy and education programs and testing centers each year.

It's easy to submit your listing to be added—or update or enhance your existing listing. Photos, flyers, testimonials, logos, social media channels, and more can help you build a "superlisting", promote your program, and get noticed. Becoming a member now will ensure you have access to the latest news and opportunities coming to the NLD in 2015.
