DIRECTORY GRANTS

*NEW* INNOVATION GRANT ROUND 11

The National Literacy Directory wants to recognize and reward innovative literacy and education programs that are finding solutions to persistent challenges. That's why we are issuing this call for brief applications to support your efforts. The eleventh in a series of $1,000 grants is available to programs with up-to-date member profiles listed in the National Literacy Directory. Grant applications are also open to organizations* that create a National Literacy Directory user account and add their program profile by the April 20, 2018, 5:00 PM Eastern deadline.

*High School Equivalency Testing Center listings are not eligible to apply for these particular grants at this time.

Applications will evaluated on

  • Clear statement of problem or goal addressed
  • Level of innovation to address stated problem
  • Results of implementation
  • Cost of innovation
  • Innovative partnerships
  • Power of participant statement

The mission of the National Literacy Directory is to help individuals find local literacy and education programs and testing centers in their areas. Each year, more than 50,000 potential students and volunteers are connected with the 7,000+ educational agencies currently listed in the National Literacy Directory.

The National Literacy Directory is a joint effort of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, the National Center for Families Learning, and ProLiteracy. Dollar General has a long history of supporting literacy and basic education initiatives for adults, families, and youth.
